The End of 2011…The Start of 2012…a bit of a BANG…in preparation…
The End of 2011…The Start of 2012…
As I have, over the past few weeks pondered the occurrence of New Years, I have this year, more than any other, looked forward to the new start. The end of one, for the most part satisfying year, and the start of what I hope to make a great year, professionally and personally. I have, with a great amount of help from some of my best friends, come a long way with my photographic career and so to those of you, you know who you are, I am indebted to you, always. I only hope that you also gained something from my friendship, that has perhaps aided you in your journey as well, if only a small part.
I have seen my children grow in leaps and bounds this year. Reasoning and learning, growing inside and out, starting to see the adults they will be, and I am proud, very proud to be blessed, in that they are entrusted to me, to guide, to teach, to help, to listen to, to try to understand, and always to love.
I have seen friends families grow and some friends lose loved ones. I have seen people that I love dearly pass on and I have seen others succeed in their great attempts. I have added new friends and lost some old friends. While this could be sad, I don’t lament that. Those friends left an imprint on my life path, we were both right where we were supposed to be. Life is this way, it is without a doubt the mysterious part of the universe that will bring a comet from the far reaches of space as it is seen to blaze a great trail through the cosmos. While in awe and wonder we watch the sky, and then like a blink of an eye, in no time, they are gone. Ahhh but the memory of that, those friends, they do linger…the thought in a child’s mind of …something flying through space at a speed we can barely say much less comprehend…is a wonder and conjures ideas in the imagination of children and adults all around the globe.
So I say to you my friends let those moments in time, your comet times, linger in your minds imagination, let them take you for a journey in your mind, and see what you may find in 2012.
God Bless your journey, your year, your moments. Cheers to all my friends around the globe. I am blessed and thankful for each and everyone of you.
I look forward to sharing 2012 with you and a great bottle of Cabernet…
